The Cheap-To-Run Laundry Pair

A heat pump dryer recycles its own warm air instead of heating fresh air from cold, which is why it costs a fraction of a vented or condenser dryer to run. Over a few years of family washing the difference pays for the machine. Paired here with a 10kg washer so a full load in the washer is still a manageable load in the dryer.

What's Included

  • Montpellier MDAWM1014S — 10kg 1400rpm Freestanding Washing Machine, Silver (£419)

Fitting Notes

Heat pump dryers run cooler and slower than condenser dryers — a cycle takes longer, which is the trade for the lower running cost. No venting is needed. Note the washer is silver and the dryer is white; if a matched finish matters, ask us about the white 10kg washer instead.
